The Perfect Red Lip

The colour red, it's pretty much an all year round colour, it will go with anything. It's possibly impossible to find the perfect shade of red in my own eyes, it's such a gorgeous range i just wouldn't know where to start. From the brighter reds throughout the summery months to the darker berry colours for the colder nights, i can't find anything wrong with a good red lip, red nail, and so on. So i thought i'd make this post of a few lip items I've lusted and wanted over the years.
Revlon Matte Really Red 6 £7.49 / Rimmel Kate Moss Shade 1 £5.49 / Revlon Super Lustrous Cherry Blossom 28 £7.49 / Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter Candy Apple £7.99 / MAC Ruby Woo £15.50

I'm actually quite surprised at how much Revlon products i managed to include, i only own a few myself so maybe this is telling me to stock up on some new products! I'm just totally in love with red, you can't go wrong with a red lip.

Makeup Revolution £1 Lipstick Swatches

It's no surprise that Makeup Revolution are pretty much the make-up brand of the year, just an opinion. But with how well their pallets and their lipsticks have been selling over the past 12 months, the hype from this brand just hasn't gone away. I see countless amounts of posts floating around the blogging world about these lipsticks, and this has only been my second purchase of them (crazy i know). I picked up a few i hadn't already purchased, i think i have around 11 shades now, if you didn't know i really do love these Lipsticks and for the price of £1 the quality you're getting is so so good. I really love the shade of Bliss, i didn't expect it to be such a peachy colour but i know it's going to be perfect for the warmer days next year. Another gorgeous deep red from Passion, Makeup Revolution have a strong pallet of reds and each shades are nothing but pretty, darker shades of the range. Dusky was a random pick for me, as i don't normally go for shimmery shades but this is a perfect pink which for me isn't too standout-ish, a perfect everyday colour i reckon.

I can never say bad about this range of Lipsticks, my only complaint last time was the looseness of the lids (which was pretty much at the start of their range earlier this year) and the lids seem so much better! It's great that they listen to what we say, it's like we matter in production, they want us to be at our happiest with the product we're getting. If you haven't picked up a few shades, i suggest you do. Superdrug are always filling their shelves with them, so go get some while they're still in stock!

No7 25 Days of Beauty Treats Days 5-8

Carrying on with my Advent Calendar this year, after a surprisingly okay start really. It feels like these days are flying by and i still have plenty to do which is slightly worrying. Balancing work and shopping seems impossible right now! I continued to open days 5 through til 8 and i LOVED what i was given. I can find use in every single product and the colours of both the Nail Polish and Eyeshadow are gorgeous, full of shimmer ready to use for Christmas and the New Years. I'm excited to try the Lash Impact Mascara as i've never tried a No7 Mascara before, it looks promising! Last i found a Face Scrub/Exfoliator which also looks good, i love a good scrub with microbeads that help get under the skin, it gives it that extra clean we all need sometimes! So i'm pretty happy with what I've opened this time, No7 are doing a pretty good job so far i must say. Can't wait to see what else i am presented with :).

Real Techniques DUPES for Under £3!

I have previously written about these brushes, some time last year i think? I had just purchased them and having never used a Real Techniques brush, i didn't have much to compare to, so i thought i'd do an updated post about these wonderful Dupes i found. When i first started blogging, i had no job, which meant little money. I lusted after Real Techniques brushes for so long but i knew i could never afford them. I have been a lover of bargains since i started having pocket money, so eBay was always a favourite website of mine, you really can trust the sellers and know that you're getting a good bargain. I originally purchased these two brushes for under £2 from a Hong Kong seller, but i managed to find some more from London, for just a little bit more.

I'll start off with the design, yes it's pretty much very similar to Real Techniques brushes with the rubber bottom and a frosted colour leading up to the brush itself. A simple yet smart design. The handle itself is curved which i really like as i find it easier to hold in my hands, a perfect fit. Now the brush itself, after using the Real Techniques buffing brush, you know how soft those bristles are, well the dupes are so much more softer, you wouldn't believe. They are pretty much exactly the same size as the RT brushes so you're not getting any less at all. It's an all round comfortable brush to use and they last forever, i don't think I've washed my buffing brush properly yet and it's still soft as ever and there's been next to no bristles breaking off and falling apart. For what you're paying, it's a deal you're crazy not to try. Even if the brushes aren't for you, you really aren't losing out money wise, like you would if you separately bought a RT brush.

I highly recommend any newbie to make-up to try these, which i still consider myself as. No shame here, i just never expanded my options in the make-up world til this year and these brushes really have helped me to use different products i never thought of trying.

Design: ♥♥♥♥♥
Usage: ♥♥♥♥♥
Value: ♥♥♥♥♥
I overall give it a 5/5, i really can't fault these brushes at all and i highly recommend you trying them. You can buy them here on eBay, if you have a browse there's sets of them you can buy for even better value, which is crazy.

No7 25 Days of Beauty Treats Days 1-4

After writing about the Advent Calendars available this year for the month of December, my mum kindly bought me the No7 as an early Christmas present. I missed out completely last year and i knew i didn't want to miss out this year. I'm deciding to write every four days about my findings and here are my first four! Overall, so far so good. I've tried the Illuminator and Lip Crayon and they're both lovely, there isn't too much pigment on the Lip Crayon at all, and the colour is more my mums colour so at least if anything i don't like myself i can give to her! The Eye Colour Brush is super soft, i hardly put anything on my lids so i'm excited to start expanding my make-up for the lid area! And of course my mum was quick enough to grab the Eye Serum off me, i'll give it a try myself but i know it'll benefit her more. It actually gives you a sneak peak of whats inside the little windows on the back of the calendar, which i haven't actually looked at... I want it all to be a suprise, okay?!

What calendars have you had this year? If you've been writing about it for Blogmas let me know and leave your link in a comment, i love reading about them! xx

Glossybox November 2014

With this months Glossybox, a very cute designed box full of goodies to help battle the dryness of skin and hair this winter. I don't know if that was Glossybox's idea, or even they knew what i needed in my head, but whatever they thought, they thought good! My skin has been awful this past month, the cold is really getting to me and drying up faster than i can even blink. The H20+ Face Oasis was a perfect little sample to help me keep my skin feeling more alive, only a small amount is needed for coverage which is also amazing. I was happy to spot a Burts Bees item in the box as i had never even thought to try this brand before (no idea why) and it's a lovely little edition. Of course, with the ongoing cold weather destroying every part of my face, my lips definitely needed some TLC and it was a perfect product to help with my chapped lips. I don't normall go for glosses if you didn't already know, but once again this surprised me and it wasn't sticky on my lips at all (yay!)

I'm still trying out the other three items but it's always great finding brands i'd never heard of, always broadening my beauty knowledge, it's great! Has anyone else tried these products? Let me know!
