5 Everyday Make-Up Products (Update)

I was looking through my older posts and came across one about my 5 main 'go to' make-up products. That post now being over a year old i thought I'd give a little update on the products I'm using now. It's not that different to be honest because my skins going through some stupid phase where it likes to dry up in the randomest of places (how fun). Makes it hard to for me to wear make-up daily, but i like to let my skin breathe anyway. I did however change one product, which is my mascara. I actually haven't used Mascara for months, i like my natural lashes and i always find it too much hassle taking it off, so i just don't use it anymore (GASP).

My main products now being Foundation, Concealer, Powder, Eye-shadow and Eyeliner.
Not too crazy, i know. But i like the simplistic look with a tiny bit of colour on my eyelids. I only go for lipsticks if I'm going on a night out, i don't actually wear them just to go shopping with, i don't know why, i just never have.

♡ Foundation: Rimmel Match Perfection in Shade 'True Ivory'(Primed with Fix & Perfect Pro)
♡ Concealer: Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection in Shade 'Fair'
♡ Powder: Seventeen Miracle Matte Pressed Powder
♡ Eyeshadow: Makeup Revolution New-trals vs. Neutrals
♡ Eyeliner: Soap and Glory Supercat

I have a pretty basic understanding of make-up so I'm not one to use a lot of product on my face, maybe i could learn to but I'm pretty happy with how my face looks with just the basics on. Such a basic bitch, aren't I?

What are your main products you use the most? I know the Collection 2000 concealer is a big winner in a lot of our make-up routines.

Human Appreciation: Avril Lavigne

I bet some of you are thinking... Why Vicki why?! I feel you, this girl is like marmite, and i effing love her. This girls music was the soundtrack to my early teenage years (still is), you know there were girls everywhere dressing like she did in the Skater Boi video, am i right?! I have just always had such a great love for Avril Lavigne and I've loved every single album she's came out with, i cannot fault her.

You get those certain people that you look up to as a kid and continue to throughout your life. She doesn't take life too serious and it's always a healthy reminder to not be so miserable about things not worth being miserable about. She's got such a fun vibe about her with her goofy type songs, yet she can get real serious real quick. The variety of gorgeous love songs to the more more upbeat dance around your bedroom type songs are the perfect mixture for me and she really balances out the serious and not so serious. If a music artist can have a song for every mood, they're pretty damn good in my eyes.

She started out pretty young and she was the fucking shit back then, her music was everywhere and she absolutely rocked it (quite literally). You cannot tell me you don't know at least one of her songs, if you don't, you are LYING TO YOURSELF. Her skater persona was adored by millions and still is. I was always into my rock music and she brought a lot of fun into her pop rock songs which i absolutely love. Sadly she was diagnosed with Lyme Disease which is most likely why you haven't heard from her in a while. I'm still super excited about her new music and i cannot wait to see what she does next.

I've been enjoying writing these types of posts! You can check out my previous ones here and have a cheeky look at who else I've been writing about.

Macaroon Storage

Sometimes you just need to sprucen your desk up. In the smallest of ways, it really can make such a difference. These storage cases are perfect for just that. April of last year, I received my monthly Kawaii Box (post here) and lo and behold... They had included a mini purple macaroon pot. I was amazed by it, something so simply made but it was just PERFECT. Am i over-reacting over a pot the shape of a macaroon? Of course, i always do with things like this. But i love little enjoyments in life and this is definitely one. A few months after i was venturing through the world of Aliexpress, i came across the much bigger version. I lost my shit. Priced at around £1.40 for the larger pot, i snapped one up instantly.

The larger pot fit my cotton pads perfectly, but you could put much more in, hair ties, bobby pins, jewellery, anything! For the smaller pot it was harder for me as it was perfect for earrings, but because my ears are stretched i don't have earrings anymore, ha! But i do keep my vitamin tablets in, a lovely little fit for any smaller bits and pieces you own. The basic design of them is so genius, you wouldn't even know that it opened, it just looks adorable sitting on your desk alone! They're an absolute bargain for the novelty alone, and more storage (yay!)

I love me some storage, have you ever seen these before?

Stardew Valley

"Stardew Valley is an open-ended country-life RPG! You’ve inherited your grandfather’s old farm plot in Stardew Valley. Armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins, you set out to begin your new life. Can you learn to live off the land and turn these overgrown fields into a thriving home? It won’t be easy. Ever since Joja Corporation came to town, the old ways of life have all but disappeared. The community center, once the town’s most vibrant hub of activity, now lies in shambles. But the valley seems full of opportunity. With a little dedication, you might just be the one to restore Stardew Valley to greatness!"

If you know me, i can obsess over games. I have done since i was a kid, you find those kind of games where you could easily spend six hours per day playing. Stardew Valley is my newest obsession. The simple idea of building up your own farm and life with the old school graphics is a perfect mix. I LOVE games that make you feel like you're living another virtual life, like The Sims has done for the past 16 years. I've only started playing in the last two weeks so I'm not the ultimate professional game reviewer. But every rating website I've seen so far (including Steam) have spoken so highly about it.

The nostalgia type pixellated graphics almost takes you back to the Harvest Moon days and sometimes you don't need the best graphics in the world to enjoy a game, just look at that cutie of a squirrel above! I am super addicted to games that I'm totally in control of. They add fun elements to farming life such as cave exploring for various goodies and you come across different creatures you fight with! I'm totally geeking out about it but i would highly recommend giving the game a try if that's your kind of game.

Priced at £11 on Steam (for PC), it's such a bargain considering how much gaming time you'll actually put into it. I'd love to know if any of you have played it, it was only released last month so you're not too behind on the current hype of everyone playing it! The worst feeling is finally getting into a game that everyone already played years ago.

Are you a gaming geek like me? Lets be friends. Right now. Okay?

LUSH: Ladybird Bubble Bar

Now you know me by now, I've quickly become a bubble bar obsessive. I'm a bit late to this little guy but i finally got around to using it and oh my oh my oh my. Released for this years Mothers Day, i snapped him up quickly as i simply adored the smell instantly. It was hard not to resist such a cute looking product, i can't imagine anyone not wanting to at least give it a whiff before putting it down and moving onto the next product. Which is why LUSH do so well with their range of bath products, they're all so damn CUTE. This little bug is so perfectly crafted they all looked amazing in their little pile, i would love to see how they actually make them.

You get an instant whiff of Peppermint, not too strong which i much prefer, i guess that stronger peppermint can be good for you but it had a sweeter, less powerful scent which i love. I didn't even want to break the little guy up but i tore off his face on my first use. It gave the bath a beautiful purple colour and the subtle smell of Peppermint filled the bathroom (more red when the body is used, my first use was it's purple face). The bar itself quite a decent size so i know it'll get at least 5 uses out of it, even if it is a bit hard to break. I could feel it cling to my skin as i entered the bath, you know it's going to work well when you feel it, I've only ever experienced this with LUSH products and i cannot praise this brand enough. Even after bathing, i still smelt the sugary peppermint smell on my skin which smells AMAZING...

If you haven't tried this little guy yet, i highly recommend it, at £3.95 it is one hundred percent worth the price. You get a fair few uses (depending on how much you prefer in your bath) so a bubble bar under £4 is amazing!

Have you picked one up yet?

Where do I fit in?

Possibly my most asked question I say to myself. I think a lot of people struggle with it. Finding their way through life in whatever way they can. When I started blogging, it was just a small thing, there was a few big bloggers and the rest of us were finding our way into this whole new universe. Looking at where blogging is now is absolutely astounding, and it's amazing to see the success of it in so many people. I couldn't be more proud to be in such a well supported community full of wonderful bloggers. Which is why it can be a struggle sometimes. I've gone through many times of wanting to give up blogging because I felt like I just wasn't fitting in so much. I tried different ways of blogging, I even blogged about things I wanted to enjoy but just didn't in the end.

You can't force yourself into a niche. Blogging to make others happy isn't really the right way to do it. There have been times before where I've blogged about things I absolutely adore and it got next to no reach. Yet other popular topics seemed to do the trick. But that wasn't making me happy so why would i bother? This vicious cycle has happened a few times. I understand it takes hard work to get where you want to be, but sometimes even trying is hard and giving up seems like an easier thing to consider.

I'm writing this post not trying to help, i just needed a way of saying how i felt. If it does help someone, then that's amazing. I know I'm not alone in feeling this. I'm not exactly a make-up guru, and i know a lot of girls aren't, but you make that shit look bloody easy!

I am determined to try different ways of writing with different topics, i want to start putting more effort into my photography, i want to get back in to art and crafts, i want to experiment with more make-up. It's tough feeling like you haven't got a clue what to write about without having any knowledge about it in the first place. Am i making sense? I hope i am.

I kind of feel better for writing this post already, i hope i do get to where i want to be in this gigantic, glorious world of blogging. I'd love to know how you feel about it, and how you conquered your fears and got through it. Let me know, yeah?

In England, we are limited to quality shops that sell Asian Kawaii goodness. Which is a real shame because i would be broke if we had more (that's a good thing really). But one special shop that I've loved for a while is TofuCute.com. Based in Portsmouth, they're one of the best online shops I've come across that are based in the UK. With super reasonable prices for their goodies, you'd be crazy not to snap up some of the items they sell. I've purchased from them a few times in the past and i thought I'd show you what i managed to find this time...

I finally bought more Re-Ment, YAY! If you're unsure of what it is, it's miniature collectables which range in so many different brands. I picked a Hello Kitty Coffee Shop set and a Gudetama Lazy Egg Diner set. I am completely obsessed with Re-Ment, just the fact it's so small and so adorable just melts my heart completely, i know I'm weird it's fine. Check out my first ever Re-Ment post here. I think i might do a separate post when i open them because the detail on these things are crazy and I'd love to show you all what i got.

Following the Gudetama theme i found some gummy sweets also, i haven't tried them yet but they look hilariously yum. Just look at him. He's a bloody egg yolk just chillin' on the packaging. I love Japan so much. They make this work so ridiculously well he's hilarious to look at.

Last are three re-purchases of my favourite sweets, Hi-Chews in Apple flavour and Puccho Cola and Grapefruit. If you haven't tried these yet, i highly reccomend you do. So sweet and so so tasty.

I know it wasn't much, but i was too excited to not do anything about it!
Have you ever heard of TofuCute?

Vans are love. Vans are life.

I don't know about you, but i love a good pair of Vans. I've been wearing various styles of theirs for years now, slip-ons being my all time favourite (could you tell?) They're afforable and probably the most comfiest brand of shoes/trainer i have ever owned. I only own 4 pairs currently, i'd love to own all the Vans in the world if it was possible.

I highly reccomend buying Vans from Amazon for the cheaper deal, i got my latest pair of slip ons for £30 (including postage) which are priced around £40-£50 on the Vans website. I'm pretty chuffed i found these bargains, and how fucking cool are they?! I'm loving the baby blue and pink pairs i found, I'd be super scared of scuffing them though, so precious!

Slip-ons are super comfortable, they've recently come into mainstream fashion which is awesome, i remember when i was my young 13 year old 'emo' self, checkered slip ons were the holy grail (still are to me). I love quirky patterns and Vans are perfect to showcase the quirk. Can't beat an old school Polka dot and Leopard print. The Disney ones have been suuuuper popular, I've seen many many bloggers drool over them, and they're all so adorable, i need them ALLLLL!

What are some of your footwear brands?
